What We Are About

We create opportunities for soul care. St. Francis of Assisi said it well, “We have been called to heal wounds, to unite what has fallen apart, and to bring home those who have lost their way.”

Growing and changing is slow. I know that’s not always fun to hear but I hope it normalizes spiritual formation and your experience. Chances are that by the time you’re sitting on the couch in my office, the things or people you’ve been using to make life work have quit working.  Spiritual direction is where suffering & struggle meet courage. Courage to face ourselves in the presence of God and know you’re not alone.

I’m not a classical spiritual director but more of a relational spiritual director. You might be saying, “What the heck does that mean?” Exactly. I mean that we look at your life, whatever is stirring in you, your relationship challenges and hold it before God. I’ll ask you questions about whatever you’re bringing to the room that day and we will just pay attention to what God might be up to. It’s not weird, but it is sacred.

We ascribe to the Apostles Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. The third day He rose from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit; the Holy catholic Church, the communion of Saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body, and the Life everlasting. Amen.
